About The Company

Loud n Proud has evolved over the years from a local community project to become The Rock and Pop School of Scotland. It is a place to prepare students for careers in music through the study and practice of contemporary music.

It is a place for talented hard working young musicians and performers to thrive. They work with more bands than any other similar organisation and have an incredible mix of young people, which extends from those who attend private schools to several who are in residential care.


About The Placement

Loud ‘n’ Proud presents ‘The Bungalow’ musical. A story about a small venue at the bottom of Renfrew Road, Paisley during the 70’s and 80’s which became a legend in the UK music scene.

The show is ground breaking and innovative full of punk classics and more. It’s a nostalgic trip for those who went there and experienced it and it also captures the imagination of those that didn’t.

During this placement you will complete 20 hours of work experience over a four day period and gain skills in:

  1. Ushering/Front of House
  2. Stage Management
  3. Backstage Coordinating
  4. Lighting & Sound Engineering
  5. Roadies Duties

Skills & Qualifications

You do not need to have any related qualifications for this role, but you should be:

  • Reliable
  • Trustworthy
  • Good communication skills
  • A team player able to work collaboratively and positively with others to achieve common objectives
  • A passion for events/backstage management or lighting & sound engineering
  • Practical skills

Expenses

You will be given £50 for your travel and lunch during your work experience placement.
