We’ve been working with young people across the UK to unleash their potential and develop their talent. We’ll be highlighting some of the successful journeys of our Music Potential Graduates. Here’s Rae’s Music Potential Experience…
I was working on my craft as a spoken word artist and I was doing open mic nights. My friend recommended Music Potential to me, I saw Music Production as a course and I really thought it could benefit me as a spoken word artist and learn the basics of the music industry.
At MPX, I was able to learn how to use production software such as Logic. I didn’t know much about music production but the tutors were amazing and helped me understand the technical skills I needed and helped me learn how to compose my own beats. It gave me the confidence to take production more seriously.
Since Music Potential, I was selected as one of the 20 finalists of The MOBOs Unsung, a competition for emerging artists and I landed myself a job in the creative industries working as a marketing assistant at ITV. Music Potential is a great opportunity to learn and collaborate with like-minded people. It really helped me understand different elements of the industry such as marketing, which helps me now in my new role.
